Part I .

For this week, we were able to use sewing machines and stitch to help create a stuff plushie. I initally had the most difficult time when it came to prepping and then executing, the experience really pushed me to work on physical types of art forms. I wanted to start with creating simple, thus, I decided to create a plush star. While some of the proportions and face of the star are a bit wonky, I love the star for what it means...to try.

Part II - Woodshop.

In addition to the sewing project, this week's project was to also create a utensil such as pencil. I came into this project fearing all of the machines, but after going through the safety training, I built up the courage to use the sanding machine, saw band machine, and the regular machine to help create the shape of my pencil. After cutting and sanding down my pencil, I painted and then engraved the pencil using the laser cutting machine.
