Laser Printing.

Using Vector Cuts and Engravings

Part I .

For this week, we were able to use illustrator to create custom laster cut prints. I decided to make a laset cut print of a hot dog. Intiitally, I had trouble with determining the difference between stroke width that can cut, versus engrave.

Part II - Clown Wreck.

Following last week, this week's project was to create an object that reflected the groups theme of "children" and had at least one moving mechanism. Initially, I had the idea to create a jack in the box idea, but I was not to sure on how to execute the idea. Thus, I setteled down for a simpler idea ofa childrens toy car. Creating the car, I refered to an image of a jeep as the type of car I was trying to mimick. One of the challenges I faced was using my Pre-Calculus knowledge to accurately create square holes in the car that would help construct the shape of the car. After the shapes had been cut, when I was trying to paint the car, my hands were super shaky creating an almost clown like effect. Thus, the car reminds me of a toy car that a clown would give to a child.
